Fresco is a restaurant in Ambi mall that serves some really good Mediterranean food.

The things I like: food, bar, decor (very breezy and cool Mediterranean looking), service.

Fres Co is a slice of the Mediterranean. Just like its name, it’s fresh, fresh, fresh. I’m talking white walls, white cane couches with blue and green cushions, blue shutter windows. And a lovely outdoors area, where you can sit and watch the shoppers’ promenade, just like the street cafes of Madrid!

Fresco literally means “fresh” in Italian. And that is one thing that is true of the salad bar available in this great little restaurant in Ambi mall. One of the biggest complaints I always have when ordering salads (in restaurants around Gurgaon) is that the salad leaves are usually pretty tired looking and not so fresh. But in this place, I couldn’t have asked for better salad when we decided to enjoy their buffet for lunch.

Fresc Co at the Ambience Mall, comes as a breath of fresh air, with something different to offer in the done-to-death Mediterranean cuisine. First of all, despite being located in food court of Ambience mall, there is hardly any ambience (read feel) of the mall around you. It has both sit-in and al fresco area. The colour theme is soothing white and turquoise blue, with hints of olive green thrown in. Beach photographs and insignia can be seen all around. Glass jars in various shapes filled with spices are used as creative decorative pieces.

SAP Asia Pacific Japan has appointed Ranjan Das as President of SAP India Subcontinent. Das will assume the position from Alan Sedghi, who will be moving on to a global assignment within SAP. Das joins from SAP America where he was senior vice president leading the Platform Technology Group.

"The Indian Subcontinent region will be one of the primary growth engines driving the doubling of our Asia Pacific Japan revenues by 2010, having already tripled revenues since 2002," said Geraldine McBride, president and CEO, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.

Das has over 15 years of experience in both global and startup software companies, including founding his own company. Das joined SAP in the US six years ago and co-founded SAP xApps, one of the fastest growing businesses for the company. He also played a pivotal role in the early adoption of SAP NetWeaver, Duet, GRC and e-Sourcing.

SAP Asia Pacific Japan has appointed Ranjan Das as the president of SAP India subcontinent. Prior to this, he was serving as the senior VP, heading the platform technology group of SAP America. Das brings with him over 15 years of experience in the business software industry. He co-founded SAP xApps, one of the fastest growing businesses for the company. He also played a pivotal role in the early adoption of SAP NetWeaver, Duet, GRC, and e-Sourcing. According to Geraldine McBride, president and CEO of SAP Asia Pacific Japan, the Indian subcontinent will be one of the primary growth engines to double their Asia Pacific Japan revenues by 2010, which has tripled since 2002. Das is an entrepreneurial technology executive with experience in both global and startup software companies, including founding his own company. He received a scholarship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US and graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering.

Ranjan relocated to Mumbai in July 2007 from SAP's offices in Silicon Valley in the US. At SAP Labs in the US, he co-founded the business unit for xApps, the first packaged composite business applications in the industry.

Ranjan Das obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
